Mission
To develop and provide state-of-the-art immunological assays to evaluate and quantify cellular and humoral responses in infected and vaccinated human and animal cohorts to support NIH-sponsored AIDS research and training. The Immunology Core provides three distinct core functions essential to study of the immunobiology of HIV, and this overall core is coordinated by Nancy Haigwood. The Cellular Immunology Core is directed by Phil Greenberg at the University of Washington (UW); the Humoral Immunity Core is directed by Nancy Haigwood and Leonidas Stamatatos at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute (SBRI); and the Flow Cytometry Subcore is directed by Stephen DeRosa at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC).
