AIDS Associated Infections and Malignancies (AAIMS)
Aims
The purpose of this Scientific Program is to link Seattle-area investigators in AAIMs with the comprehensive CFAR cores including clinical, basic science, and developmental cores, to leverage efficiencies of scale, develop novel research questions, and collectively pursue formal NIH and foundation-sponsored funding for the study of AAIMs. These collective activities should add value to the CFARs by establishing an international center of excellence in the study of AAIMs.
The goals of the Program will be accomplished by the following aims.
- Semiannual Symposia in AAIMs
- Monthly Seattle AAIM Research Roundtables
- Facilitation of Core Use for AAIM Investigators
- Facilitation of Collaborative Grantsmanship
- Development of Intra- and Inter-CFAR Projects on AAIMs
