STD/AIDS Research Training Fellowship Program
Core Curriculum
All pre- and post-doctoral trainees supported by the program are required to take the annual two week international course on Principles of STD and AIDS Research and the UW Biomedical Research Integrity Series. Additional, optional opportunities for all trainees are listed below. Additional curricula specific for each track are presented within the track descriptions.
Required Courses
- Annual international 2-week course on Principles of STD and AIDS Research - Required for all trainees
- UW Biomedical Research Integrity Series - Required for all trainees
Optional Courses and Seminars
- Annual AIDS and STD Research Retreat (joint with Infectious Diseases Division Retreat)
- Annual Clinical Infectious Diseases Course (for MDs only).
- Comprehensive Clinical Courses on AIDS and STD, coordinated by the UW AETC and STD PTC (several times each year).
- CFAR Clinical Research Conference (Monthly)
- CFAR Pathogenesis Research Conference (Monthly)
- STD Research Conference (Monthly)
- CFAR AIDS Biostatistics Research Methodology Seminar Series (Quarterly)
- CFAR Sociobehavioral Research Seminar Series (Quarterly) and Workshop (Annual).
- School of Social Work Forum on Counseling Methods
