Dr. Mohammad Gamal Rindarjono,
Dr.Mohammad Gamal Rindarjono is a lecturer at Department of
Geography, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, Central Java,
Indonesia. After received his first degree (Bachelor of educational
Geography) from Jakarta State University 1990, In 1991 He continued
his master degree at the Department of Geography, Universitas Gadjah
Mada, Yogyakarta until 1994. Gamal has joined Sebelas Maret
University since 1995. Gamal got his PhD degree in the same area
from Gadjah Mada University in 2010. Gamal current position at
Sebelas Maret University is as head Office of Department of
At Sebelas Maret University, Gamal teaches some subject including Geographic Information System, Application Images satellite, Urban Planner, also Urban Settlement in under graduate, post graduate and Ph.D Program. He also supervises students for their thesis and dissertation to finish up their degree.
Gamal research focus is on urban area and reducing disaster management for urban poor. He has won many research grants both national and international level. Since 2010, Gamal has joined to FORUM FOR URBAN FUTURE (Forum Expert meeting Germany and south east Asia for Urban Future), National Committee Indonesian Geographer and also member of International Geographer Union.
Gamal got fellowship from Government of Brazil in January- February 2012 for research for rural development, in the same year DAAD (Germany) invited him as a chairman in International Geographic Congress (in Cologne). In 2012 Gamal received award as best Head office department at Faculty of Education and Teachers Training Sebelas Maret University.
On April 2012 his photograph received and published in National Geography Tourism South East Asia about his experience in amazon.
