UW Housing - Dorms SUMMER VISITING PERSONNEL HOUSING INFORMATION Limited housing is available through the University of Washington. Participants in UW-sponsored summer programs may stay in the campus
residence halls through our Visiting Personnel Program. Housing is available from June 20th through September 3rd. Accommodations: The prices for standard rooms (located in
Haggett Hall) are $61.00 per person per night single occupancy, and $45.00
per person per night in doubles. If
guests wish to be assigned a double room they must make their own
arrangements for a roommate or they will be assigned and charged the single
rate. Rooms have twin beds, a local
access telephone with voicemail, and shared bath facilities. Ethernet access
is available in sleeping rooms for those who bring their laptops. Bed linen
and towels are provided. Beds are made
and fresh towels are exchanged daily.
Bed linen is changed once per week during extended stays. There a
limited number of special rooms with private baths available for an
additional charge. Kitchenettes,
television lounges, vending machines and laundry facilities are located in
the building. Residence halls offer a
smoke-free environment. Smoking is
prohibited in public and private areas. Meal Allowance: The nightly rate above includes a
non-refundable, non-transferable $15 per day food allowance for guests
staying 3 or more nights. Upon
check-in, guests are issued a magnetic-strip meal card to be presented for
purchases at several campus food service locations. The balance on the meal card declines each
time a purchase is made. The meal plan
is optional for guests staying less than 3 nights. Parking: The current cost of parking is $8.00 per
day Monday through Friday and $3.00 on Saturday. There is no charge to park
on Sundays or holidays. You will be
required to pay for one day of parking as you enter the University gate. This will allow you access to loading zones
near the residence halls. You may then
purchase a long-term permit at check-in. Payment: Guests are expected to pay in full for the
visit in advance or upon arrival. We
accept cash, checks, Purchase Orders, VISA, MasterCard or American Express.
