Directions to CHDD from I-5 to S1 South Campus Parking
Driving to S1 South Campus Parking
- From I-5 take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Northbound I-5 traffic will turn right onto NE 45th Street--proceed East. Southbound I-5 traffic will turn left onto NE 45th Street--proceed East.
- Continue east about 4/10 of a mile to 15th Avenue NE. Turn right.
- Head south (downhill) on 15th Avenue approximately 7 blocks, crossing the intersection with NE Pacific Street.
- At the end of 15th Avenue, follow the arterial as it swings left (east). The campus parking gatehouse (Gate #6) will be straight ahead. Stop at the gatehouse for directions and a parking permit.
Limited parking is available in the S1 parking garage, located behind the UWMC, west of the CHDD building. Lot S1 has a height restriction of 7’ 5”. A cash payment of $15.00 is required upon entry. Enter the mid-level of the S1 Parking Garage (west end). Drive to east end of S1 and look for CHDD- designated parking stalls. Walk out of S1 at the east end and enter CHDD Clinic building. At appointment check-in, patients or their family members may request a partial discount voucher. Present this voucher at the gate house upon exit from the parking area.

Getting from S1 South Campus Parking to the CHDD
S1 parking has 3 levels: top (street level), middle, and bottom. From the middle level, visitors walk out the east exit to CHDD, wheelchairs use the designated route on the southeast corner of the lot. There is no elevator access from the bottom level of S1 parking. Do not park on the bottom level of S1 if you cannot use stairs. During construction visitors will have very little access to the upper level of S1 due to contruction trailers and temporary supply truck holding area. You are encoraged to use Mid level entrance.
From S1 middle level to CHDD Clinics Using Stairs- These directions will change in June 2009 with the closure of Columbia Road due to UWMC construction
- At the far eastern end of the S1 parking area, cross Ferry Road (entrance road to the first floor of CHDD). Enter Southwest corner of CHDD and follow signage to the elevators-clinics are located on the second floor of the building.
