The Neuroscience Core provides research support—both facilities and technical expertise—for a large group of Research Affiliates working in areas of developmental neuroscience. Included in this Core is access to equipment and technical support for work ranging from routine light microscopy and immunocytochemistry of large brain regions to quantitative morphometry of neuronal and glial elements to sophisticated ultra structural analysis. We also support in vivo brain imaging including electrophysiological research with a variety of modalities and technical expertise. All components of the Neuroscience Core are designed both to help introduce affiliates to the advantages (and pitfalls) of useful technologies and to provide expert technical guidance for experienced neuroscientists. Services are organized under two main components:
