Hazards:
Bromine is toxic and reactive.
Materials:
2 sealed tubes with bromine in a ½ atmosphere and bromine in a vacuum.
Beaker with dry ice
Procedure:
Before class, the 2 tubes are placed into the beaker of dry ice. When removed the tube in the atmosphere slowly difussed up while the vacuum tube uniformly darkens as the bromine moves into the gas phase.
