AV-750

AV750

The AV-750 magnet resides on a subfloor level of Room 46 Bagley Hall (the picture above was taken from the main floor level of Room 46). The console has been recently upgraded to the stat-of-art AV-II system from Bruker that is fully loaded with features including solids capability.

Reservation Restrictions

3 weeks out of every four have been allocated primarily to the major users (Drobny, Klevit, and Varani). The remaining week will be devoted mainly to time blocks for minor users. Major users may also apply for this minor user time, but in the decision process some weight will be given to the fact that they already have substantial time on the instrument. There will also be 12 hours of "walk-on" time per four week period, which will be distributed over three of that 4 weeks, so the delay for short "walk-on" jobs should be relatively brief. These "walk-on" slots must be scheduled with Rajan Paranji at least 24 hours before the planned use of that time. Much higher priority will attach to "walk-on' requests that are received at least 24 hours in advance. The decisions regarding "walk-on" time will be made as fairly as possible.
