The Center for Enabling New Technologies in Catalysis (CENTC) is looking for its inaugural Managing Director. CENTC is the first Phase II National Science Foundation Chemical Bonding Center, funded for five years. ALVA Math Instructor – University of Washington
The Alliances for Learning and Vision for Underrepresented Americans (ALVA) is an intensive summer experience for entering University of Washington freshmen that includes a paid intern position and engineering based math-problem solving seminar. The Engineering Advising and Diversity Center (EADC), within the College of Engineering is looking to hire several instructors to teach the ALVA math seminar from June 25 – August 17, 2007, from approximately 4 – 6 pm Monday through Friday. Pay range $3,000 - $5,000 summer salary (salary based on experience). Minimum qualifications: experience teaching math in a classroom setting, preferably high school students, proficient in teaching 2nd quarter college calculus (Math 120) or higher, strong leadership and communication skills and experience working with diverse populations desired.
