Add codes for Chemistry courses

Adding courses prior to the beginning of the quarter (Period I & II registration)

Some freshman chemistry sections are reserved for specific populations of students such as "Freshman Interest Groups" (FIGs)or "Minority Science and Engineering" (MSEP).  Add codes for these reserved sections are not administered through Chemistry Department.  The Time Schedule will indicate where to get add codes for these special sections.

Adding courses once the quarter has started (Period III registration)

During the first week of the quarter add codes are required  for all 200, 300 and 400 level laboratory courses. Add codes are obtained at Bagley Hall room 303.

Dropping courses

Once period III registration begins drop codes are required for all 200, 300 and 400 level laboratory courses as well as honors general chemistry, CHEM 145, 155, and 165.  Drop codes are obtained from Bagley Hall room 303 between the hours of 8 am and 4:20 pm Monday through Friday.

Unrestricted Drop Period

This period is from the 8th calendar day of the quarter through the 14th calendar day of the quarter. Drop codes are required for all 200, 300 and 400 level laboratory courses as well as honors general chemistry, CHEM 145, 155, and 165.  Drop codes are obtained from Bagley Hall room 303 between the hours of 8 am and 4:20 pm Monday through Friday.  Courses may be dropped without restriction during this period. No record of the dropped course(s) will be recorded on the transcript, however, a quarter withdrawal statement will appear. There is a $20 Change of Registration Fee charged for all registration changes made on a single day during this period. A tuition forfeiture may be charged.

Annual Drop (Week three through seven)

The last day to drop an individual course from your schedule, provided you have not already used your one annual drop is at the end of the seventh week of the quarter.  Since drop codes for chemistry courses are received in person from Bagley Hall room 303 you must be sure to obtain a drop code by 4:20 pm on the Friday of the seventh week of the quarter. A $20.00 change of registration fee will be charged for all registration changes made on a single day during this period.

Course Add Periods

Registration Period I (current calendar)

This registration period is open for continuing students currently enrolled or for students who completed the previous quarter.
Priority registration dates are based on your completed credits, credits currently registered for, and the last digit of your student number. You may register using MyUW on, or after, your registration date and make changes to your schedule.
