Department of Chemistry
Chemistry and Biochemistry are currently open majors. Students should speak with Chemistry Advising to declare a chemistry or biochemistry major at this time.
Starting Spring quarter 2010, entrance into the Chemistry and Biochemistry majors will be by competitive admission. Applicants are considered in the following categories:
First Year Admission Biochemistry
First Year Admission Chemistry
Regular Admission Biochemistry
Completion of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. All applicants have the right to petition and appeal the department's admission decision. Appplications will be considered twice a year on the Friday of the fourth week of autumn and spring quarter each academic year with the exception of the Direct Freshman Admission.
