Department of ChemistryThe UW Department of Chemistry's policy on AP credit is as follows:
| AP-5 | Credit for CHEM 142, 152, and 162. |
| AP-4 | Credit for CHEM 142 and 152. |
Those students with AP scores of 4 or 5 who plan to major in chemistry or biochemistry are strongly encouraged to discuss the option of enrolling in the honors general chemistry sequence, CHEM 145,155 and 165, with the undergraduate chemistry/biochemistry advisers in 109 Bagley Hall.
No credit will be given for AP scores of 3 or lower. See the FAQ for more discussion on Running Start and the AP program.
