theron's blog

Theron has a cat problem.

I have an unexpected and wonderful opportunity to reclaim two cats that I had to give up as part of a separation from my ex. They were family members, and I didn't want to let them go, but they were settled into my ex's house and leaving them there was best for them. Said ex just informed me that she can't keep the cats (due to personal reasons) and she needs to find a home for them pronto. I want my cats back, so I intend to move into a cat-friendly apartment and move them in.

New study abroad application procedure

The UW just launched a new website and database for faculty led study abroad programs (like ours).  From this point forward, we will no longer use the standard paper applications for CHID International Programs.  Instead, students will apply via the UW Study Abroad website.

Learning too many things at once

I'm at Odegaard, where I'm supposed to be learning how to edit the CHID webpage, but my mind is on the Hank Williams songs that my mom wants me to play at her 70th birthday party next weekend.  Hank actually played very complicated rhythms.  I had no idea.  But my mind is being taken off that music by Thurtle's dang ringtone.  Giant Steps.
