Drew Flanagan is a first-year PhD student in history at Brandeis University. Before coming to Brandeis, he received his BA in European history from Wesleyan University with High Honors. His current research explores the experience of right-wing former Vichyites and members of the anti-Gaullist and anti-Communist resistance in postwar France. His general research and teaching interests include 20th century French and European politics, history and memory of the Second World War and Vichy, the political culture of the right wing and of veterans, and issues of historical justice
