Intersections Editorial Workgroup

CHID offers a quarterly focus group (CHID 496) that provides students the opportunity to serve on the editorial staff of intersections while earning two credits. The Intersections Editorial Workgroup employs a peer-review model that allows students to develop their skills in critically assessing an author's arguments, composition, style, and use of scholarly sources. The IEW's collaborative model gives students a chance to develop strong working relationships with other students.

IEW meeting times provide students maximum flexibility in negotiating their other academic responsibilities. The IEW meets one day per week for two hours - typically on Fridays.

CHID majors have priority when registering for the IEW focus group. Students from other departments, however, are encouraged to participate, provided there are positions available. For specific details regarding registration consult the University of Washington Time Schedule at:

http://www.washington.edu/students/timeschd/

If you have any questions feel free to stop by the CHID office at Padelford B102 and inquire within.
