Welcome

The University of Washington Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program is an ACGME-accredited two-year program with 6 residents per year. The program is based at Seattle Children's Hospital, one of the top-ranked pediatric hospitals in the country.

Our Child Psychiatry Division is one of the largest in the country, with over 30 full-time faculty members (both MD's and PhD's). Our faculty members have a range of interests and expertise in many areas, including autism, ADHD, mood disorders, disruptive behaviors, early onset psychosis, substance use disorders, telepsychiatry, cultural psychiatry, and collaborative care with primary care physicians.

In addition to acute inpatient and outpatient continuity training at Seattle Children's Hospital, our residents train in a variety of other settings, including long-term residential, juvenile justice, primary care consultation, and school-based consultations.

This website provides a brief overview of the program, including the clinical sites, faculty, curriculum, special opportunities, and how you can apply.

The videos below provide an engaging perspective of our Program, and of our City.
