Epilepsy

Epilepsy is one of the most common human neurological disorders, affecting up to 3% of the population.  A multidisciplinary group of CIBR investigators and collaborators probe this disorder from the molecular, cellular level to systems neuroscience. Researchers in the departments of Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Radiology, Engineering, Genetics and Computer Science collaborate on several projects.   Epilepsy research is conducted in collaboration with the University of Washington Integrated Brain Imaging Center (IBIC), Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Interdepartmental Epilepsy Program, the University of Washington Regional Epilepsy Center, and collaborators from other institutions throughout the country and worldwide
