Most workshops will be led by experienced graduate students, faculty, and staff from departments throughout the university, who will draw on their experiences helping students learn at UW. Workshops are designed to provide a forum for discussing effective teaching, allowing you to raise your questions and concerns and to interact with facilitators and fellow TAs. Other Frequently Asked Questions What should TAs do if they can't attend?If your department requires TAs to attend TA Conference Workshops, but you are not able to attend, please notify your department. To find out what your department requires, please review information you have received from your department, or view the List of Department Recommendations. CIDR then contacts these individuals on behalf of the Graduate School with information about the TA Conference.
