Conference Registration

On-line registration for the 2008 TA Conference is now closed.
If you have not yet registered, we hope you will still plan on joining us.
Please review the following options:

ALL TAs:

View the Department Recommendations page to find out what your department is recommending or requiring for you. Make a list of these workshops.

Go to the Conference Program to determine the times that these workshops are being offered. Almost all workshops are being offered more than once, and most of the workshops have multiple sections being offered at any given time. Make a list of the workshops you are interested in attending and bring it with you to the Conference Check-In table at the TA Conference.

The Conference Check-In table will be in the Lobby of Kane Hall between 8:15 and 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16. After that, it will be located in 107 Smith Hall.

At the Conference Check-In table, you will find a listing of all the workshops being offered and their room numbers. Go to one of those rooms and ask the facilitator of the workshop if any seats are available (most workshops are expected to have 1-2 empty seats). You can also try another room if the first one you check is full.

You are welcome to attend the following sessions without advance registration:

  • Teaching and Learning Resource Fair
Sept. 16, 8:15-10:45 a.m., Walker Ames Room, Kane Hall
  • Opening Plenary - "Teaching at UW: What You Can Look Forward To"

  • Plenary 2 - "Teaching at UW: Policies and Professionalism"
    Sept. 17, 9:00 a.m., Kane Hall, Room 130
