Scholarship of Teaching Research Group at UW Tacoma

We are a four-person interdisciplinary research team -- comprised of education, nursing, and business administration faculty. Our research team is focused on developing our teaching practice while producing relevant scholarship that advances the use of self-study of teaching at the university level.

Our team dates back to January 1999 when we came together because of our passion for teaching and our desire to integrate teaching and scholarship. Our desire to improve upon and better our teaching led us to the research on the self-study of teaching.

In our nearly three years as a research team, we have completed several papers outlining a model for conducting self-study research from an interdisciplinary team perspective. Our scholarly output to date includes two papers, one conference proceedings, one book chapter, four conference presentations, and one campus presentation.
