Activism spread to Seattle high schools
Seattle's Garfield High School was the site of UW-inspired student activism in the 1970s.

University student activists were also concerned with the way that high school administrators treated students of color. They helped high school students form their own chapters of organizations such as the Black Student Union and Asian Student Coalition.
