Law, Societies, and Justice Minor The undergraduate minor in Law, Societies, and Justice provides an opportunity for students to develop a multidisciplinary liberal arts orientation to the study of law, social control, and justice, with particular emphasis on the studies of crime, comparative law, and human rights. This knowledge is gained through critical examination of the research literature and exchange of ideas and information with other students and faculty. Minor Requirements: 30 total credits to include: (1) Two courses from the list of LSJ Core Courses: LSJ/POL S 363, or LSJ/SIS 362; LSJ/POL S 367; LSJ 375, or SOC 372; LSJ 320/POL S 368, or LSJ 321/ANTH 323 (10 credits) (2) Three courses chosen from the Law, Societies, & Justice major subfields (two courses from one subfield and one course from a different subfield). Students may substitute a course from the LSJ Research Methods list for the course in a second subfield. (3) Electives from the LSJ Core Course list or the LSJ major subfields list to reach a total of 30 credits. Additional LSJ Research Methods courses cannot be used for these electives.
