Exercise solutions:

A set of sample solutions has been graciously made available by John Weatherwax. These are not "official solutions" and have not been checked in detail, but may be useful to users of the book.

Simulations and Software:

The pages below for each chapter may contain errata and pointers to other relevant webpages. In many cases they also contain more figures and perhaps animations illustrating examples from the text and related problems.

From these pages you can also download computer codes for the examples presented in the text. Most of these are fortran programs based on CLAWPACK, and it will first be necessary to download and install that package in order to use them.

WARNING: Some of the m-files in these examples were modified in April, 2006 to conform to the matlab scripts in Versions 4.2 and 4.3 of CLAWPACK. If you are using an older version of CLAWPACK you should update your matlab scripts.

These examples should work with Clawpack 4.3.

New versions of Clawpack are available!

Some of these have been adapted to work with Newer versions of Clawpack, see the gallery for more information.
