Motion by Riggs, support by Tackitt to obtain and present plaque
for past chair Thacker and other past chairs who had not been recognized.
Motion approved.
Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the June 15, 2000 annual business meeting were distributed.
Discussion on NCLEHA ribbons for 2002 annual meeting. Tackitt to
follow up. Motion to accept by Tackitt. Support by Abrahams.
Minutes approved.
Presidentís Report:
Future of organization will be in electronic communication to share/request
policies, procedures and inquiries. Foresee a general access and
member access only component. Blake and Abrahams volunteered to assist.
Promotion of NCLEHA technology session. Coleman thanked Knight for
support in program development. Coleman will continue as management
section chair. Knight announced career opportunities in Sacramento
County.
Treasurerís Report:
Report distributed. Balance as of May 31, 2001 is $4,016.36.
Discussion on silent auction items hard case picnic set and cooler.
Motion to accept by Tackitt. Support by Riggs. Treasurerís
report approved.
Old Business:

New Business:
Wittkopf led discussion on near future retirements of Environmental Health
leaders and potential future leadership void.
Discussion wrap-up:
- Succession issues are there successors?
- Is profession archaic?
- What training should be done and how can NCLEHA participate?
Knight appointed Blake. To work with Tackitt on follow up.

Tackitt moved for nominations closed and election by acclamation.
Support by Riggs. Coleman and Morris elected to trustee positions.

Riggs announced that report from Swimming Pool Committee will be sent
to the chair.
Good of the Organization:
Announcement that Ron Grimes is a candidate for NEHA vice president.
Grimes shared his platform.
Discussion on making conference more financially accessible.
Warren Abrahams is seeking support for his candidacy to Diplomat American
Academy of Sanitarians.
