Introduction

This course is designed for primary care providers to offer up-to-date information about the evaluation, treatment, and management of hypertension, lipid disorders, congestive heart failure, and coronary artery disease. It will also cover basics on ECG interpretation and stress testing. Common primary care topics such as evaluation of heart murmurs and palpitations will be discussed. Case-based lectures and an audience response system will be used to engage participants in interactive dialogue. A question and answer session will follow each presentation for additional discussion.
