met in Kelvin’s office, discuss about the MSR faculty form, main goals of the
form for faculty who uses the assignments to reflect
upon:
- Self: in terms of
- Goals wish to
accomplish (why change/adopt) the assignments
- efforts required to
use (extra?)
- expectation/results
from using the assignments
- Students: in terms
of
- Learning:
independent from pre/post tests, do faculty feel
students learned as much?
- Attitude: were
students more/less/same enthusiastic about the
assignment/subject?
- Process: were there
more/less questions from students regarding finishing the
assignment?
- Classroom: when
discussing the assignments, compare to experience from “usual”
assignments:
- More buzz,
interests, engagement?
- Assignment:
- Difficulty?
- Appropriateness?
(independent from about factors) does faculty feel the assignment is … good,
or feel the
assignment is good?
- Required skill set
from students? Does this involve too many small skills that students need to
master before they can work on the assignments?
- Integration with
their other assignments, how easy/difficult was it?
