The UW Team (Tristie Tajima, Morgan Mann, Web Miller, and Kevin Atkinson) won first place in the National ABC Student Competition in Hawaii. In the first part of the competition which was submission of a bid and schedule, they placed in the top five out of the 30 university teams competing. In the second part, they submitedt a project management plan, safety plan and made a presentation.
: We had 1300 students at the competitions, the largest number in the 22-year history of the competitions. Our students took first place in the Multi-Family competition and third place in the Commercial, Heavy-Civil, and Marine competitions. Our Heavy-Civil team was short one student who was in the hospital and yet placed third in a very close competition.
