Near Northwest Neighborhood Network
Established in 1987, the mission of the Near Northwest Neighborhood
Network is to "…develop the will and the vision to stabilize and
to revitalize the community so that the community provides quality to
both family life and work, especially for low to moderate- income
families and others." (

The major community organizing project of NNNN is the Humboldt Park
Empowerment Partnership (HPEP), a network of over 80 institutions
working in the greater Humboldt Park area in affordable housing and
economic development, employment skills development, education advocacy
and youth opportunities, and a variety of other community development
initiatives.
West Humboldt Park Family and Community Development Council
Established in 1992, the West Humboldt Family and Community Development
Council is an organization whose mission is to be a catalyst for
family, community and economic development in the a target area from
North Avenue to Lake Street and Kedzie to Cicero. The Development
Council works with residents, businesses, and government officials to
promote positive economic, housing, and employment opportunities in
this area, network with other agencies working in the area, and to
improve quality of life for neighborhood residents.
