It will be a traditional student/faculty "brown bag" session complete with free food and discussions about our departmental research in this area. So if you're interested in global communication or just want to join us for lunch, please stop by.

May 27 Brownbag: Technology & Society

12:00pm - 1:00 pm in CMU 321

It’s almost the end of the year, but there’s still time for all of us grad students in the Technology and Society division to come together and have an end of the year brown bag with our faculty. COMGSA will provide the pizza. All you have to do is come and share a favorite research project you completed, are currently working on, or wish to conduct while here at the Department of Communication. This will be an excellent opportunity for both first-year and advanced graduate students to discuss our latest work, talk to faculty, and discuss our plans for the year ahead.

October 26 Halloween Party at Rebecca's house

That's right, get your costumes out because it's time to take a break from reading, writing, and stressing out. Bring some food and drinks and join us for a fun pre-Halloween get together.

This was the first in a series of area-focused research gatherings. Grad students and faculty interested in political communication (or curious about this research area) came together to share and discuss their research ideas, questions and potential projects. Colin Lingle and Amanda Ballantyne organized this gathering.
