My name is Kristi Arthur and I am 24 years old. I am a junior in the undergraduate department at the School of Social Work at the University of Washington. I am interested in international social work issues and working abroad. I plan to study in Kenya next year in the Spring. I was born in Port Townsend, a town of 9,000 people. Port Townsend is an oceanside town in north western Washington. In my spare time I like to go on walks, to movies and out to eat with friends and family. My parents still live in Port Townsend and my sister lives in New York City. My father's side of the family lives in north western Washington and my mother's side of the family lives in eastern Montana. My future career goals include practicing social work abroad and learning a foreign language. I plan to work towards a dual Masters degree in Social Work and Public Health. Since I was a child I have wanted to go to outer-space. I am inspired by the diverse and complex world and universe around us. I feel I am useful to society because I am committed to learning about the world and it's challenges. Thank-you, Kristi Arthur |
