I grew up in the Boston area and came of age living in Hong Kong.
My academic interests include forced migration, post-conflict recovery and reintegration,
community mental health, and qualitative research.
My future plans include developing global - local partnerships for community capacity building and action.
For fun I spend time with my family, sing and play piano, read, cook, enjoy stimulating conversation, and take walks.
One thing most people don't know about you: I love Bunraku (Japanese puppet theater).
What most excites you about this course:
I'm excited about the potential for learning through a combination of classroom activities, student led discussion, and agency-based projects. There is a great deal of synergy through integrating the knowledge and resources that exist in community-based agencies with student potential for learning through service, resource development, and research.
What makes you most nervous about this course:
I'm not nervous about the course. I do spend time thinking about one of my major
goals, which is to make sure that the agency-based projects constructively contribute
to meeting agency needs while offering great learning opportunities for all.
