New Training FAQ

Beginning January 2018, UW Medicine will sunset existing onboarding compliance training for new, enhanced content that covers general compliance, protected health information, and fraud, waste, and abuse prevention. To transition to the enhanced training, workforce currently assigned onboarding compliance training (historically known as: HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, and CMS General Compliance Parts C&D) through the remainder of 2017 are required to complete it by December 29, 2017. Workforce unable to complete their training by this date will be assigned the new, enhanced training when it is available in mid-January.   • December 15, 2017: Last date new workforce are assigned the historical compliance training
  • December 31, 2017: Required completion date for all workforce assigned the historical training
  • December 16, 2017 – January 15, 2018: Compliance onboarding training hiatus; no compliance training will be assigned during this timeframe
  • January 16, 2018: Date new, enhanced compliance training content is available and is assigned to all workforce in incomplete status, or hired/onboarded after December 15, 2017
