In an academic health care setting, like UW Medicine, compliance includes numerous issues such as fraud, waste and abuse prevention, conflicts of interest and ethics, reimbursement for healthcare services, patient privacy and information security. Training\u00a0is an important element of the UW Medicine Compliance Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UW Medicine establishes compliance training requirements for our workforce in policy <a href=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/comply\/docs\/comp_002.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COMP.002: UW Medicine Compliance Training and Outreach<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/comply\/training-modules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compliance Training Module Information webpage<\/a> for a list of the role-based compliance training designed to help our workforce understand how to comply with the complex regulatory requirements in the workplace.<\/p>\n<h3>How to take Compliance Training<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compliance training is auto-assigned at onboarding and annually via the <a href=\"https:\/\/lms.uwmedicine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UW Medicine Learning Hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwmedicinecompliance.uw.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Compliance Learning Portal (CLP)<\/a> is a learning management system for use by University of Washington and<br \/>\nUW Medicine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwmedicinecompliance.uw.edu\/docs\/UW_Medicine_Compliance_Training_Audience_Chart.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workforce members<\/a>\u00a0who <em><strong>do not<\/strong><\/em> have an active account in the UW Medicine Learning Hub\u00a0and whose job\/role requires completion of healthcare compliance training.<\/p>\n<h3>Compliance Alternate Training Versions:<\/h3>\n<p>Workforce who don\u2019t have access to the Learning Hub or Compliance Learning Portal may take alternate training versions that are available by request. Workforce members may not have Learning Hub access because they do not have UW Medicine accounts (a requirement for access) or because they do not have access to computers at their work locations.
