- Do not request cage cards for animal transfers. Your cage cards are automatically printed for you after Transfer Approval has been given.
- Requests should be provided at least 48 hours BEFORE the cage cards are required.
- You request cage cards when:
- Breeding Colonies need seperated cages.
- Weaning pups.
- Cage cards are missing.
- Barcode is damaged or unreadable.
- Card is damaged and is unreadable (i.e. Water damage)
- Splitting cages (injured or sick animal isolation or separation in any way).
- Any other need for requesting cage cards.
- Fill out the appropriate online form. All fields in red are required fields and must be filled in for your order to be submitted. After you successfully submit your form, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to you with the information you filled in.
- Your cage cards will be ready for pickup from the facility supervisor within 24 hours of form submission.
- To activate the new cards, the barcoded activation strip located below the perforation is to be dated with the activation date, removed, and placed in the drop box inside the room.
Attention:
- If activation date is not written on barcoded activation strip, that cage will be activated on the date that room was last scanned. Charging will be retroactive to the date of the last scan. This could be more than two weeks.
- If you do not place your barcoded cage cards on the animal cages when you receive them you will be charged Barcode Census Technician time for the replacement of those cards.
