ELECTRONIC SCANNING OF ANIMAL INVENTORY

• Comparative Medicine personnel will scan the caging in every animal room at least twice each month.
• The scan provides a physical inventory to compare against the database. If any discrepancies exist, they are reconciled based on the scan date.
• Cages without barcoded cage cards in the front of the cage card holder or visible will be replaced with barcoded cage cards and Barcode Census Technician time will be charged.
