DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

The animals submitted for diagnostic testing usually have clinically evident problems as identified by the Veterinary Services Unit.

These animal/samples are usually submitted internally by the clinical veterinary staff.

For animals or tissues submitted to Pathology Unit, specific tests are selected by the pathologist in consultation with the clinical veterinary staff.

Tests  may include necropsy, parasitology, microbiology, cytology, histopathology, PCR and/or serology.
