DIAGNOSTIC PCR

The UWVDL offers diagnostic PCR for Helicobacter genus and species as well as rodent parvovirus. Samples submitted depend on the test requested.

Helicobacter PCR-

         Sample submitted: Feces

         Tests include Helicobacter genus or species (hepaticus, bilis)

Parvovirus PCR-

         Sample submitted: Mesenteric lymph nodes

         Screening tool to detect any rodent parvovirus. Specific parvoviruses determined 

         via IFA
