MICROBIOLOGY

The UWVDL has partnered with Phoenix Central Laboratories in Everett, WA to provide veterinary microbiological services. Live animals submitted to the UWVDL laboratory are ideal as the pathologist may determine based on history, clinical signs and gross findings the best site(s) for culture. Additionally, swabs, tissue or fluids may be submitted for bacterial culture and antibiotic sensitivities.
