Academic interests include technician and researcher training
and education in humane laboratory animal care and use, as
the foundation for sound research. Training is available to
all personnel on gentle, safe methods of handling and restraint,
as well as on research techniques that prevent or minimize
animal discomfort. Effective education methods include hands-on
laboratories using models and animals, problem-based learning
and computer-based training, along side texts, work-books,
lectures and discussions.
