
Mission Statement/Goals
The mission of the Department of Comparative Medicine at the University of Washington is to advance knowledge and improve the health and well being of humans and animals through excellent service-support, biomedical research and teaching. The department offers training for the next generation of veterinary scientists in biomedical research, who are envisioned as becoming leaders in comparative medicine. One goal is to generate an intellectual environment that fosters collaborations within as well as outside the department.
