Getting Started
Congratulations and welcome aboard! Here are just a few helpful reminders to get you started and to ensure a good experience with this program.
- Acquaint yourself with this Web site. There is information here that will make your job a lot easier.
- Make sure you have been fingerprinted. You cannot work in the school district until they have taken your prints. Currently district fingerprinting is on Tuesdays from 8:30-2:30. Call 206-252-0390 to make an appointment. The $49 fee can be deducted from your first paycheck.
- Be sure you have been added to our list processor, techassist@u.washington.edu. Many questions get answered by our knowledgeable staff. (and be sure to use this resource with your questions!!)
- Make sure your paperwork gets to the district office. You do not get paid until the district knows you exist. You must turn these papers over to the secretary, but sometimes things slip through the cracks. Be aware. Make sure it gets downtown. If you suspect it hasn't let the Partnership Coordinator (Vanessa) and the principal of your school know immediately.
- If you are reading this, you have made a commitment to the school you are working at. Please be sure to honor that commitment by providing excellent service for the entire duration you were hired for.
