Outreach Services

Counseling Center staff members are available to meet with student groups and faculty or staff members to deliver outreach presentations on a wide variety of topics.  To request a presentation, please call the Counseling Center at 543-1240, and ask to speak with Dr. Sara Dale, the Outreach Coordinator.  We are typically able to fulfill most requests, particularly if the event is scheduled between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.  To increase the likelihood that we will be able to meet your needs, please contact us with your request at least two weeks prior to the event date. If we cannot meet a request, we will attempt to help you find other resources.

Past presentation topics have included the following:

  • Relationship enhancement
  • Eating and body image concerns
  • Study skills (time management, memorization, etc.)
  • Assertiveness skills
  • Appreciating differences
  • Stress management
  • Sexual assault
  • Coping with seasonal depression
  • Overview of Counseling Center services
  • Life transitions
