John W. Lynch, PhD, MPH, MEd is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology,
School of Public Health, at the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan
Epidemiology department is well respected nationwide for its leadership in researching
the social determinants of health. Dr. Lynch has joint appointments at the University
of Michigan Center for Human Growth and Development, the Institute for Social Research
and the Center for Research on Ethnicity, Culture and Health. Dr. Lynch has spoken
internationally on health disparities. In addition, his expertise on researching health
disparities using lifecourse processes is well recognized. He recently received a
Robert Wood Johnson Investigators in Health Policy Award to write a book titled,
"An Individual and Population Lifecourse Approach to the Determinants of Health"
along with his collaborator, George Davey Smith. |
