The goal of the 2003 Health Disparities Symposium:
Social Determinants: Methods and Practice is to expose
faculty and students to research on health disparities and the
social determinants of health. By familiarizing faculty and students with
the opportunities and challenges inherent to social epidemiology, we hope to
encourage more health scientists to pursue social epidemiology research.
