5th-6th Grade classes

Summer Challenge is a summer academic program for students finishing 5th or 6th grades.  Classes will meet from 9:00 – 2:20 Monday through Friday.  The dates for Summer Challenge 2012 are July 9-July 27th.  A brief listing of all of our summer challenge courses and the full descriptions are here for parents  to preview.

I really enjoyed coming up with favorite words.  I liked it because I could search my vocabulary for words I liked.  I now keep a notebook page with all my favorite words.

– E. P., Summer Challenge student

Students qualify for Summer Challenge classes by scoring in the 95th percentile or higher on a recent nationally normed standardized aptitude or achievement test.  Participation in a nationally recognized talent search (such as the Johns Hopkins Talent Search) or placement in a recognized gifted school program will also serve to qualify a student for our program.
