Summer Stretch - Who Can Apply?
Students qualify for courses based on scores from the SAT I or the ACT. Both tests are offered nationally throughout the year. The UW Testing Office also offers special ACT exam sessions: call 206-543-1171 for more information.
Note: 10th graders require special permission to enroll in classes other than Chemistry, Biology and Fast-Paced Math.
Minimum Score Requirements
These are scores from 7th grade testing; scores from tests taken during 8th, 9th, or 10th grade are expected to be higher and will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Enrollment Considerations
Please note that this is not an "enrichment" program. Students are expected to attend all classes. The amount of homework is substantial, and can amount to several hours per night. Fast-paced math, biology and chemistry courses are at high school level and are the equivalent of one academic year, while the other courses generally cover up to a semester of academic work at high school level.
