Welcome to Nutrition for Children with Special Health Care Needs in Washington State!
Our project supports nutrition services for children with special health care needs (CSHCN) and their families in Washington State. Because children with special health care needs are at increased risk for nutrition-related problems, the project provides training and ongoing support for registered dietitians (RD) and community feeding teams.
Information you will find here includes:
- CSHCN Nutrition Network
- Community Feeding Teams
- Nutrition Services (what they are, where to find them, paying for them)
- Resources and Training
Those who live outside Washington State may also find the information helpful. Registered dietitians, nurses, primary care providers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, educators, social workers, and others working with the pediatric special needs population will find useful information, available services, resources, publications, and links to related web sites.
This project is a collaboration between the Children with Special Health Care Needs Program in the Department of Health, and the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
