The One Ring and its Influence on Novel Applications of Modern Middle Earth
Course description

An overview of the history of Middle Earth, how that leads into the one ring being created, and the journey to destruct the ring. How the knowledge obtained through the one ring was newly applied to help develop Middle Earth, and how modern Middle Earth is developing new techniques through the same knowledge will be covered intensively. Accompanying labs that will apply techniques learned in lecture will be held once a week.

As the course progresses, the history of certain prominent figures will be studied intensively, and there will be a brief introduction to the Elvish language.

Prerequisites: Although there are no prerequisites for this class, a basic understanding of genetic engineering, archaeology, and linguistics is recommended. No prior knowledge of welding is assumed.

Grading policy
There will be two midterms and one final. Each midterm is worth 100 points, and the final is worth 150 points. Each homework assigment (5 in total) is worth 10 points.

The final grade for this class will be based on a total of 400 points.
