Overview

To deepen the understanding of the connections between the quality of teaching and efforts to improve it. CTP pursued particular topics through smaller scale investigations (case studies, database analyses) that shed light on the way teachers were prepared, how they were helped to make the transition to first and second years of teaching, how they experienced the professional "communities" in which they found themselves, and, over time, what did or did not keep them in a teaching position within a give school.
